My name is Sarah Bruha and I am part of an amazing fourth grade team at Auburn Elementary School in the Avondale School District. I am thrilled to living out my lifelong dream of being an elementary school teacher.
I was born and raised in Michigan and I graduated from Oakland University with a major in Elementary Education. GO GRIZZLIES! I was so fortunate to have my wonderful family their for support and encouragement. I have two younger brothers, an older brother and sister. I also have two nieces and four nephews! Family is so important to me! I was very involved with the Student Michigan Education Association in college. I wrote and received a $2,000 grant from the National Education Association where we adopted a Reach Out and Read Clinic at Troy Beaumont. I also have lived abroad in South Africa where I was able to work with the beautiful children of the Zulu Tribe and learn about other cultures and customs. I have also been on two fossil expeditions with my family in Nebraska and Florida. I enjoy being outside, running, playing sports, taking my little dog Tobey for walks, spending time with my family and friends, making crafts, mountain biking and the Wizard of Oz. I love to watch the Red Wings, Tigers and Pistons too!
